We all have seen different posts, videos, and articles about forum marketing.  Register, create a signature and start posting.  It sounds and looks simple but and I’m sorry to burst your bubble it is not.  What I write is from experience and of course I’m new at this but maybe out there others that can relate to what I have to say.

First of all forums are overwhelming as such maybe any other internet marketing strategy.  I registered in four different forums:  Warrior Forum, Rich Dad Poor Dad, WAHM, and A Better Networker. Easy right?  Think again.  Each forum has of course their particular platform.  You need to take time to learn the ins and out of each one of them if you want to post correctly and to the audience you want to target.  Warrior Forum for example;  I didn’t even knew where to go, how to edit the signature, create the profile.  Talk about confused.  Then you move on to the next forum, Rich Dad Poor Dad.  Again, create profile, picture, signature and you have to learn the platform.  Some forums like ABN and WAHM do not allow your signature until you have made 35 posts.

So I thought there must be a better way to understand forum marketing or at least implement it successfully.  So this week I thought I will only post to the Warrior Forum.  Familiarize myself with the platform.  Post, quote, reply….I haven’t even joined a network or group yet!

All this time I’m thinking in the back of my head, these forums are great, but I need to find forums where I can target my niche, forums that I feel comfortable posting and moving around.  This is key to being successful with forum marketing, you need to be in sync with the forum you are posting or else you will lose interest.  I would suggest to  find forums that you feel comfortable with their platform.  Whatever works for you.  Remember that people who are reading your posts will notice and feel your excitement and your commitment to the forum.  That is also key and important to your success in internet marketing and building relationships.

So far this is working out for me and it keeps me consistent with the forum marketing.  I choose forum marketing for now because I do like to write, coach and give advice.  So be patient, be consistent, and always, always, provide valuable content.

Can I just say what a relief to find someone who definitively knows what they’re talking about on the internet. You at some point know how to bring an issue to light and make it captivating. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.

Awesome blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any tips? Thank you!

It’s wonderful to be a writer because its your opportunity to share ideas and influence others. My main tp would be to write about a topic you are familiar with. A topic that relates to you. WordPress is a great starter. Yes you wll get overwhelmed but stick to one topic or strategy for a while until u get the gist of it. Be consistent. Good luck!

Just be yourself and simple, if you do not understand a subject do not talk about it.
